Prosthetic Technology

When designing your prosthesis, we incorporate engineered technology from the leading prosthetic brands. The technology that replaces your joints will make the greatest impact on the ease-of-use of your prosthesis. This technology will determine how adaptable your prosthesis is to your environment and how much energy you will have to expend to use it. Joint technology is designed to best suit amputees based on their K-levels (K0, K1, K2, K3, K4), which categorizes amputees with respect to their activity level. Patients are welcome to make requests for certain joint components that peak their interest. Our practitioners will gladly consider these requests; however, they will ultimately select the components that best suit the patient’s K-level and lifestyle.
